The Faculty of Medical Sciences of Anton de Kom University of Suriname runs a three-year, 180-ECTS Dutch-taught bachelor in medicine (Geneeskunde), which must be followed by the master in medicine to practise as a physician. Admission requires a VWO diploma or equivalent with a set science package and is limited by a yearly numerus fixus.
