The physician-entry route is a 3-year Geneeskunde bachelor followed by a 3-year Geneeskunde master; the master graduate is a basisarts. The medical faculty of Erasmus University Rotterdam is integrated in Erasmus MC; English rendering of the unit is ours.

Erasmus MC runs the three-year, Dutch-taught Master Geneeskunde of Erasmus University Rotterdam, which leads to the basisarts qualification. The master consists mainly of clinical rotations (coschappen) at more than 30 affiliated healthcare institutions in the region and is limited to 390 places per academic year.
