University of Medicine 2, Yangon admits about 300 students a year to its M.B.,B.S. programme after the Grade 12 matriculation examination in the science combination, with minimum scores set by the Ministry of Health. The integrated curriculum has system modules in medical years 1–2, clinical rotations in years 3–5 (including a 4-week residential field training in year 4), followed by house officer training.
